چکیده
Natural dyes play an important role in sustainable dyeing processes. However, natural yellow with good performance are rare. Traditional have issues, such as a narrow color range and poor light fastness. In this paper, new dye was extracted from low-cost herb Geranium caespitosum L. (G. caespitosum). addition, the composition analyzed using UV-visible spectroscopy. The process of G. on wool fabrics optimized single-factor experiments. Standard fastness tests were conducted to evaluate sunlight, washing, rubbing dyed fabrics. characteristics gamut evaluated. obtained colors compared assessed Pantone Matching Systems Chinese traditional colors. results showed that phenolic acids flavonoids present solution compounds. best for meta-mordanting. bright at 60 °C golden 90 °C. All yellow-red range. According ISO standards, had ratings, particularly sunlight Therefore, is promising can be used fabric dyeing. It has advantages over other known certain application value.

In recent years, chitosan and its different derivatives have been extensively used in surface modification and functional finishing of textiles. In this study, wool yarns used in handmade carpet were treated with different concentrations of chitosan-poly (amidoamine) dendrimer hybrid (Ch-PAMAM) and characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), and their dyeing properties were investi...
متن کاملAchillea Millefolium, a New Source of Natural Dye for Wool Dyeing
Today, natural colorants are emerging globally due to the fact that they are safer and more environmentally-friendly. Natural dyes have been employed in dyeing Persian carpet piles for many years. In this study, the dried Achillea was used for dyeing wool yarns. The Iranian wool yarn was scoured, mordanted using Cu, Sn, Al salts and then dyed with different amounts of dried Achillea powder. متن کاملEffect of Acids and Different Mordanting Procedures on Color Characteristics of Dyed Wool Fibers Using Eggplant Peel (Solanum melongena L.)
The dyeing of woolen yarn with eggplant peel, a natural colorant, has been studied. The main coloring component in this natural colorant is anthocyanin, which is an interesting class of dyes in the blue and red area. Eight mordants including alum, copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, potash alum, nickel chloride, zinc sulfate, tin chloride, and potassium dichromate were used for mordanting the ...

In the present work an evaluation was carried out on the effect dye-bath pH and mordant type on the obtained shades and fastness properties in wool dyeing with cochineal. In this way wool samples were first mordanted with four different mordants and subsequently dyed with cochineal at different levels of dye-bath pH. Colorimetric evaluations were carried out and fastness properties of the dyed ...
